Our Planet Earth

Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the only known planet that supports life. It is about 4.5 billion years old and has a rich and diverse environment, from oceans and forests to mountains and deserts.

Approximately 71% of Earth's surface is covered with water, mostly in the form of oceans. The remaining 29% is land, which includes continents and islands. Earth’s atmosphere contains the perfect mix of gases—like oxygen and nitrogen—that make life possible.

Earth is home to millions of species, including humans. It provides everything we need to survive: food, water, air, and shelter. However, human activity has caused serious environmental issues like pollution, deforestation, and climate change.

Protecting our planet is a shared responsibility. Small actions—like recycling, saving energy, and using less plastic—can help preserve Earth for future generations.

Earth is not just a place we live. It's our only home. Let's take care of it.
